Gion Shirakawa
Next, I crossed the city of Kyoto and moved to Gion. The cherry blossoms here were already in full bloom and were starting to fall a little. The Shirakawa River flowing along Shinbashi-dori Street and the cherry blossoms in full bloom against the backdrop of the bamboo blinds of the teahouses give people a taste of Kyoto.
This place was just as crowded with photographers and tourists as Arashiyama. There were no people at parties, but the people density was definitely higher in Gion than in Arashiyama. There was a warning on the bridge over the Shirakawa River that said, "If there are too many photographers on board and there is an accident, we will not be responsible in any way." There are certainly enough people on top of it that I'm worried.

The bamboo blinds of the teahouse along the Shirakawa River create a nice atmosphere, so I took a photo to make the cherry blossoms stand out more beautifully in contrast to the background.

The close-up photo of the cherry blossoms gave off a nice atmosphere and I'm a little impressed.
On the way, I happened to meet a maiko model at a photo shoot at Tatsumi Shrine. This will be introduced later. Cherry blossom petals in full bloom were scattered on Tatsumi Bridge.
This year I left Gion in about 30 minutes, but it is a great scenic place that I'd like to take more time with next time.
