Dubrovnik

Dubrovnik's scenic place

The staff of the ropeway climbing up the Dubrovnik's famous mountain, Srđ, were on strike. So we went to Dubrovnik's scenic place instead.
After that, we started sightseeing from the Francisco Monastery at the entrance of the Pile Gate in Dubrovnik. We took a walk through Prazza Boulevard to the St. Vlajo's Church and the bell tower of the Ploce Gate. We entered the old town from the main street and bought the dried fruits recommended by the tour conductor at the open-air market. We entered Dubrovnik Cathedral and listened to the guide's commentary. There were many boat cruises from the old port of Dubrovnik, but today the waves were high so we decided to pass.

From the old port to the ramparts walk

We enjoyed walking on the ramparts of Dubrovnik from the old port, which is the highlight of the morning sightseeing. The view from the mountain side of the ramparts was the best. However, the wind was very strong, and those who came in light clothes seemed to be a little cold. Went around the ramparts counterclockwise from the mountain side to the sea side. From the ramparts on the higher mountain side, we could see the old town of Dubrovnik, and from the ramparts on the sea side, we could enjoy the view of Lovrijenac Fortress, Mount Srđ and the old port.

We had lunch at PROTO with mussels and lobster with white wine. I recovered from my illness and was able to drink alcohol.
For free time in the afternoon, we first went to the Lovrijenac fortress on the west side of the ramparts and took pictures with the accompanying members.

After exploring the fortress, we decided to take taxis to Mount Srđ for 15 euros per person. The ropeway wasn't in service and a refund of 10 euro per person was covered. On the way, we stopped for photo shooting at the scenic place. It's the same view as on the travel pamphlet. Overlooking Dubrovnik's old town from the Imperial Fortress on the summit of Mount Srđ. The taxi driver took a great group photo.

Gundurichev Square

After descending the Mt. Srđ, we went sightseeing freely. We took a walk in the old town, such as Gundrichev Square, where the open-air market was open, and the Orthodox Church Ignatius. Invited by the sign of Best Beautiful Point, we took a rest with Stella Beer at a seaside cafe outside the ramparts.
In the evening, we joined the tour companion and headed to the restaurant area. At Bistro Kavana Lanii, a seafood restaurant, we started with Oyster and enjoyed delicious food, sparkling, white and red wines.
We procured wines in front of the No. 6 bus stop at Pile Gate, returned to the Baramar Hotel, and closed the tour with the accompanying members by having a room party.

After breakfast, we exchanged contacts with the tour members and saw them off. We moved to the Petit Palace in the old town at the end of this trip. It was raining, but we were able to relax in the room before 1pm. We continued to eat too much, so we skipped lunch and took a short nap until dinner.
We went for a walk around the places we didn't see in the old town yet. We went out from the Ploce gate to the ropeway station for Mount Srđ, but it was still not in service. We walked slowly through the St. Vlajo's Church, Rector's Palace, Dubrovnik Cathedral and the Orthodox Church of Serbia.
We had dinner at Moby Dick in the restaurant area. There was a Japanese menu and it was easy to order, but yesterday's restaurant was more fashionable. The rain stopped in the evening, so I went outside after 8 pm. The streetlights were reflected on the road surface of Prazza Boulevard, where the rain had just stopped, and it was very beautiful. Also, the stained glass of St. Vlajo's Church was illuminated by the light inside, and it looked very beautiful from the outside.

Open-air market

The last day of the trip. Breakfast at the hotel restaurant. It was full of volume. It was sunny and warm on this day. We first took a commemorative photo at the open-air market in front of the hotel. At the Church of St. Vlajo's Church, the sunlight shining through the stained glass was reflected on the wall, and it was a majestic beauty.

There was no wind and the waves were quiet, so we embarked on a cruise from the old port. We also enjoyed Dubrovnik from the sea. Finally, we took a walk on Prazza Boulevard and finished our sightseeing in Dubrovnik. We bought souvenirs at the open-air market in front of the hotel and ended the trip feeling refreshed by the good weather!

Dubrovnik from the sky

We took a taxi from the hotel to the airport. Arrived at the airport in 20 minutes at a tremendous speed. Unfortunately, it was not possible to issue a ticket from Paris to Beijing at the airport (only luggage was checked in through to Beijing). We left Croatia early and relax in the Croatia Airlines lounge. Croatian beer was delicious.
When we took off from Dubrovnik Airport, we could see the old town in the lower right.

John Paul II's nameplate
Airplane tire repair

It seems that John Paul II was on board the plane to Paris in 1998. There was a nameplate on the wall in front of my seat. The plane was calling at Zagreb and Split, so the Pope may have made a mass at Zagreb Cathedral and Diocletian's Palace.
We arrived in Paris on time, but there was no staff at the CA transfer counter, so we decided to enter France and issue a ticket. We were able to issue the ticket safely and headed from Paris to Beijing.
We arrived in Beijing 35 minutes earlier than planned on a comfortable flight of a jumbo jet. So far it had been going well. We had experienced entering China on the outbound route, so we were able to enter and leave China smoothly. After that, we only prayed that there would be no delay for Kansai International Airport, but boarding did not start even one hour after the scheduled boarding time. The plane had a puncture , and after changing tires, boarding started one hour after the scheduled departure time. In the End, arrived at Kansai International Airport after 9 pm. It was a really long trip.
