Zagreb
We had breakfast at the main dining of the Esplanade Zagreb Hotel. There were champagne, order omelets, etc. and it was fulfilling. It would have been better if the omelet could be made earlier. This morning, BBC News reported the abdication of Emperor Heisei live from Tokyo. I took a walk in Zagreb Central Station before departure. There were always trams running arround the station.
Plitvice Lakes National Park
On the way to Plitvice, we took a break at the Museum of War. It is a history museum of civil war where fighters and firearms are exhibited. Arrived at a restaurant near Plitvice before noon. I had lunch with red wine instead of beer in preparation for a long walk in Plitvice. I wore the rain shoes I procured yesterday in case of rain, but fortunately it didn't rain.
The main attraction in the lower area of the Plitvice Lakes National Park is the 78-meter-high waterfall. The amount of water was large due to the rain until yesterday, and it was powerful. There are many boardwalks that walk on the pond and are well maintained.
Crossing by boat from the rest area on the way, there are many natural sidewalks on the shore of the lake in the upper waterfall area. We enjoyed various waterfalls. Finally, we climbed a steep slope from the dock and arrived at Hotel Jezero. I was very tired because I walked more than 15,000 steps.
After walking, the beer for dinner was good. I opened the white wine of Bled Castle to drink in the room, but I was tired and fell asleep immediately.
Split
Hotel Jezero's NHK-World TV featured the Reiwa era. The era had been changed in Japan. On this day, We got on the bus from the mountainous area to the forest area toward Split. The rugged rocks appeared and the land seemed unfertilized. Many of the running cars carried bicycles on them.
We arrived at Split and had a scampi and white wine lunch at a restaurant in the old town. It's not a lot, and it's kind to the stomach, which was a little tired. The ice cream dessert was also delicious.
Sightseeing started at Diocletian's Palace, built by Emperor Diocletian of the ancient Rome in the 4th century. We were lucky with the nice weather. It was a pity that the bell tower was under construction and could not be climbed.
There is a statue of Ninski in front of the Golden Gate through Narodni Square. It seems that peoples wish will come true when they touch the toes of this statue, and we had touched it firmly.
Took a free walk around the old town, such as the Republic Square. The promenade, a pedestrian paradise called Riva facing the sea, also had good weather, and we enjoyed the refreshing atmosphere of the resort area.
We bought a ceramic painting as a souvenir at galerija in. It was a nice gallery opposite the restaurant we used for lunch.
The bell tower of Diocletian's Palace towered against the white rocks of the mountain and was beautiful.
Checked in at the Meridian Hotel, which is full of resort atmosphere. With a private beach, tennis courts and spa, this hotel is a place where people can spend a relaxing time. We stopped the walking arround due to rain, and relaxed in the room. Dinner was full of wine with travel members. Satisfied with 4 bottles of white, white, red and red.
Mostar
It was fine in the morning and it was a pleasant start to stroll along the beach in front of the hotel.
We moved to Bosnia and Herzegovina this day. We got on the bus through the forest area with white rocks and shrubs, and we took a break in the service area of the mountainous area. I saw something like a TV tower on the white mountaintop.
We waited for an hour when entering the Bosnia-Herzegovina border. It seems that the trouble of the tour is that the transit time is unknown.
The old town of Mostar, which leads to the stone bridge "Stari Most" over the Neretva River, was very crowded. Mostar's name comes from this bridge. Traces of the civil war remain in the building on the way. A young man in the center of the stone bridge will jump from the top of the bridge into the river for 35 euros.
Lunch with white wine and kebapuchi at a restaurant overlooking Stari Most. But a lot! After sightseeing in the Turkish house, we went down to the riverbank under the stone bridge and took a commemorative photo. We left Mostar with a magnet and cashmere shawl as souvenirs. A lot of poplar fluffs were flying in the parking lot. We were lucky that it started to rain right after we got on the bus.
We crossed the border again and returned to Croatia. The weather was nice and poplar fluffs were fluttering here as well.
Dubrovnik
Arrived in Dubrovnik after 6 pm. A large cruise ship was anchored at the port of Dubrovnik. We had dinner at Klarisa near the fountain next to the Pile Gate in the old town of Dubrovnik. Klarisa is a beautiful restaurant renovated from a medieval monastery, and the weather was nice, so we were very satisfied with the dinner and the cityscape of Dubrovnik.
After dinner, the sun went down and the cityscape was even better. We returned to the Baramar Dubrovnik Hotel and had a drink at the bar with my traveling companion. However, soon after it started, I left due to poor physical condition. Perhaps I had a temporary cerebral anemia. Be careful about physical condition management!
