Italy 8th day
Breakfast at the restaurant facing the Grand Canal on the 1st floor of the hotel. It's sunny and dry, and I didn't feel the strange odor that I read about on the net. The breakfast menu at the hotel stated that the price was 50 euros. Even though it was a normal buffet, the exchange rate at this time was 7,500 yen. I thought half of the price was for the location of this terrace seating overhanging the Grand Canal.
Venice
Gondola canal tour
In the gondola tour boarding lottery, my family picked up an accordion player and a singer's boarding boat.
Venice was very lucky with the room and the gondola.
During the gondola round trip to the Grand Canal, we enjoyed the songs of uncles such as Besame Mucho and Edelweiss.
St. Mark's Square, Temple
A flock of pigeons settled in St. Mark's Square. It may be because the feed was sold at the square for 1 euro.
At St. Mark's Square, people were preparing for the event and set up many chairs and stages. St. Mark's Basilica is a white-walled building with gold mosaics, reminiscent of the economic power and authority of the past.
Doge's Palace, Bridge of Sighs
Luxurious interior with a vivid impression of lapis lazuli blue and gold leaf 24 gold.
In particular, the luxury of gold leaf pasting on the ceiling painting is unique.
The one-room "Grand and General Council" with a depth of 54m, a width of 25m, and a height of 15.4m is dynamic.
It seems that the ceiling is hung from the back with beams.
On the front wall is Tintoretto's "heaven", which is said to be the largest oil painting in the world.
This picture is a single piece and has an area of 140 square meters (7m x 20m).
It was strange that the prison and the palace were next to each other.

When we returned to St. Mark's Square, seawater was spouting out (the square is several tens of centimeters above sea level).
People could only enter St. Mark's Basilica from the side entrance.
I bought a vase for my living room niche at a glasswork shop in Murano Glass.
I chose a vase that I see every day instead of a wine glass.
The tour was over, so we went back to our room to put what we bought.
St. Mark's Square was filled with seawater, and the passage was flooded.
The women in the sandals got their feet wet.
Walking around Venice
Cross from the side of the hotel to the opposite bank of the Grand Canal by traget. The square in front of the church of Santa Maria della Salute was said to be a popular place for filming. Many large religious paintings were drawn inside the church.
We left the Grand Canal from the Church of Santa Maria della Salute and took a leisurely stroll along the small canal.
It never became a dead end, and we were able to enjoy the maze and continue walking wherever we went.
The cityscape was full of charm, with its intricate canals and paths that made great pictures wherever I took it.
There were many general stores, and we bought glasswork souvenirs at a small shop handmade by a lady.
-Pendant tops, necklaces, earrings, etc.
We had a late lunch at a restaurant along the Grand Canal in front of the Accademia Gallery. I asked for two pizzas Margherita, and when I changed the order to one because I was afraid of the size, the waiter got very angry (but in the end, he accepted the order change. Grazie!). We crossed the Accademia Bridge and returned to the hotel side. The church of Santa Maria della Salute was visible in front.
In the end, we like high places, so we climbed the bell tower of St. Mark's Square. We climbed by elevator and had a panoramic view of Venice.

Boarding area of San Zaccaria | San Giorgio Maggiore |
We parted from the two tired people and walked along the San Marco canal to the area around Hotel Danieli.
There were a lot of people here and everywhere was lively. There were also many street performers,
The man sleeping in the square of San Zaccaria was a really drunk man.
On my way back, I went to Cafe Florian in Piazza San Marco, where Pink Floyd's concert was being prepared, and I met a member who was on the move. My family took a picture of David Gilmour (I thought). The concert seemed to be held twice that night and the next day.
Returning to the hotel, I took a picture again on the terrace of the room with the church of Santa Maria della Salute and the island of San Giorgio Maggiore in the background.
Today was dinner at the hotel dining room.
We ate on the outdoor terrace facing the canal on the lobby floor.
It was windy and cold, but the pasta, main dish and wine were delicious.
After dinner, I went out to see the night view of St. Mark's Square. The Pink Floyd concert started at 21:00, so I was wondering if I could see the situation, but the view was completely shut out because the square was guarded in a long distance. I could only hear the sound. Pink Floyd was also performing live at the Pompeii ruins, so it might have been a World Heritage tour. It was cold and drowsy, so I returned to the hotel. It was a day with a lot of walking.
