The memorial statue of Lamartine (the first Republican leader after the French Revolution, and poet) in the center of Macon is surrounded by 12,000 flowers. The Saone River, which runs beside it, is a shipping river port for Beaujolais Nouveau.
The flowerbed is made using the inside of the rotary. Even amateurs can see the mature skills of landscaping.
