Japan-Cairns
My family gathered (some of us came straight from work) at Kansai International Airport and departed for Cairns by Jetstar flight (JQ16 / 20: 25 → 05: 10 / 7h45m).
We arrived at Cairns Airport early in the morning. It was my first visit to the Southern Hemisphere.
The international terminal was hot and humid, and there were palm trees, so I felt like I had arrived in Hawaii.
We moved from the international terminal to the neighboring domestic terminal.
We completed the transfer procedure at the Qantas counter, checked our luggage and were then able to move around more freely.
In front of the domestic terminal, there are several aluminum objects with hieroglyphic patterns on display. They were just made in 2009 and are family statues.

The transfer time to Ayers Rock was 5 hours, so we left the airport for the city of Cairns.
The city of Cairns is very close to the airport and can be easily reached by taxi.
We had breakfast on the terrace of Coast Roast Coffee facing the Cairns Esplanade Lagoon. We took a walk in the Esplanade Lagoon after breakfast. Suddenly a squall came and we took shelter from the rain, but after the rain there was a beautiful rainbow. We took pictures around the lagoon fish objects and returned to Cairns Airport.
